ACTIVITIES LIST:
Giant Swing:
The Giant swing is the only one of its kind in Australia that we know of. It was designed by Log Cabin Camp staff and accredited by high ropes Victoria. It can be used as a giant swing with a 20 metre frame and 17 metre drop out over a fall way of 23 metres. It is a team exercise with team members taking turns to pull one another to the top!
Flying Fox:
With a SOTA brand new fully accredited Flying Fox located at Log Cabin Camp, participants have the opportunity to test their nerves on an exhilarating bouncy 125 metre ride between 2 dams!
Scavenger Hunt:
An exciting activity for all to participate in hunting for a variety of different items. This activity challenges your quick thinking and logic!
4 Person Leap of Faith:
Test your faith and that of your team mates as you leap into the air from our 10m high Leap of Faith. This is a team activity getting all 4 members to take a leap of faith to hit the ball hanging out in front of you, as well as assiting your peers by belaying them as they climb. Test yourself on the replica at ground level and see how your perception changes when you are 10m up the air! Activity most suitable for grade 6 students and up.
Commando Course:
The Commando Course at Log Cabin Camp is reminiscent of those rigorous courses that our military must complete. But don't worry, they've made it a little easier! Our wide range of obstacles are challenging yet inclusive to all skill levels. The aim of the activity is to provide participants with a new recreation experience, to challenge them to go beyond their own expectations, increase their self-confidence and to work as part of a team.
Archery:
Travel back to medieval times and experience the Sport of Kings. Archery challenges the skills of both young and old with the use of the traditional bow and arrow aimed at the bullseye at an appropriate set distance. The aim of the activity is to provide participants with a new recreational experience, developing their psychomotor skills, increasing their self-confidence and to teach them the fundamental skills and safety issues associated with such a sport.
Outdoor Night Tag:
Players will attempt to get to bases to acquire points without being caught by the chasers, if they are caught then they risk losing points, whoever has the most points at the end of the round wins!
Sports Round Robin:
What better way to have fun playing sports by playing them all at once! Get ready to play Footy, Soccer, Touch Rugby, Volleyball and much more!
Canoeing:
You won’t find white water rapids at Log Cabin Camp but Canoeing on the picturesque lake may help to inspire images of Davey Crocket and the likes. Together with timing and co-operation the canoeing team can soon hoan their skills to discover a new water frontier.
Please note that certain activities may have risk involved, all participants will be accompanied by carers and will be looked after with utmost care.
More details will be sent out prior to the camp, a full itinerary including what to pack and more important information.
