Confirmed Plot Details
The Main Conflict: The main villain of the movie is Bowser Jr., who is attempting to rescue his father, Bowser. At the end of the first film, Bowser ate a Mini Mushroom and was shrunk and imprisoned; Bowser Jr. plans to free him.
The Journey: Mario and his friends must leave the Mushroom Kingdom and travel to the far reaches of the galaxy to stop Bowser Jr.'s plans.
Key Characters:
Rosalina, the guardian of the cosmos and caretaker of the Lumas, will join the adventure and use her magic to help the heroes.
Yoshi, who was teased at the end of the first movie, will also have a significant role.
